Unlike the other Arcade games in many series, the point character of a Ultimate Hero team could not summon the offscreen partner for an assist attack; instead, an supporter character will randomly be selected before the match start. This Hero could be summoned a limited number of times in fight to attack the opponent simultaneously. special Codes can be used to help the system to select a certain assist hero's.

The Duo squad Attack allows a player to control both heroes on his or her team simultaneously for a brief period of time; the characters from mvsc had unlimited use of their hyper moves during this time. Since some heroes have impossible-to-defend super attacks that do substantial damage if blocked, the Duo band Attack can lead to stratigy that are oriented around activating it before your opponent could.
