The doctors, nurses, health workers and pharmacists in the Amma Mini Clinics run by the Tamilnadu (India) Government’s Directorate of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, use this app to schedule, treat people and dispense medicines.

These mini clinics are opened as a step towards attaining World Health Organisation’s(WHO) goal of ‘Universal Health Coverage(UHC) by 2030’, under the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of ‘Health and Wellness for all’. The mini clinics are opened vide notification number R.No.66143/MCH-1/UHC/2020, by Office of the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chennai 6, dated 09.09.2020. These mini clinics would serve a 5000-8000 population, equivalent to a block under every HUD. 2000 mini clinics are proposed for Phase 1, of the 2448 mini clinics proposed for Tamilnadu.
