This is an eye gymnastics manager with a description of the exercises and a timer. Be sure to study the exercises and try to perform them systematically, which will significantly relieve eye strain when working at the computer or on long trips behind the wheel.

Review: S. N. Akulov, Chief freelance ophthalmologist of the MHRO, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology. The Department of Ophthalmology of the Rostov Regional Clinical Hospital.

The application introduces the "eye fatigue scale", it is quite conditional and is designed to remind you that the eyes are also tired, and they also want to rest. Despite the fact that we often feel tired in the eyes after nightmarish loads and long hours of work, for example, at the computer.

Train yourself to break away from the computer routine and do small, simple warm-ups.

In the process of developing the app was the code name "simulation settings". In fact, there are really a lot of settings. You can choose the exercises you want to do by disabling the others. Work with the description, with the speed of execution-adjust everything "for yourself", for your comfort, for your health.

There is a lot of theoretical material: from "how to instill drops" to the description of computer visual syndrome.

The app is suitable for children accustomed to the gym since childhood and repair most problems in the future.

It's no secret that daily work on screen devices, long time reading from the monitor (or even from a book) negatively affects the health of the eyes. Long trips behind the wheel, when the driver stares into the distance and rarely changes the focal length, affects the organ of vision.

Why? One of the factors is the constant retention of the "picture" by the eye at an unchangeable distance. The muscles of the eye are always in tension. Try to take a light dumbbell, one or two kilograms, and hold it in front of you at arm's length. How long will you hold it? Or remember the process of attaching the curtains to the cornice, when the hands are raised up. It can be very tiring muscles!

Try to keep your eyes fixed on an object in front of you. At first you will feel an irresistible urge to blink, and a little later you will feel impulses, as if your eyes want to escape from the captivity of one object and look at something else. If you still hold your gaze, you will notice how the objects around you lose clarity and focus, as if the gaze is "lost", and the brain has ceased to distinguish and isolate the individual from the picture of the world.

We have three obvious enemies of vision: constant focal length to the subject, rare blinking when working at a computer (or driving a car), and eye immobility. All this leads to various diseases, which it makes no sense to describe here.

So, what will visual gymnastics help us with?

1. It will give the muscles additional movement, so they will "stretch" a little and rest (like putting a dumbbell on the floor and shaking your hands).

2. Blinking helps to moisten the eye. This is useful. In addition, a group led by Tamami Nakano from Osaka University (Japan) studied and concluded that blinking helps the body "reset" neurons in the neural network of attention (Dorsal Attention Network, DAN), located in the parietal lobe of the brain. The parietal lobe helps in recognizing objects and switching attention.

3. In the process of gymnastics, we forcibly change the focal length to the object. This trains the muscles of the lens, making them mobile. The mobility of the muscles will allow you to quickly "switch" from a distant object to a close one and vice versa.

Even if you do not use the app in the future, spend at least a week with gymnastics, performing the entire cycle of exercises once or twice a day. In this way, you will master the eye rest tool and be able to perform the exercises yourself in any convenient place, at any convenient time.

We wish you success and good health!
