Elephant Ears came about from an exploration of the full capability of our sister platforms, Catlicked and Wedding Book. This inspiration was simple: machine learning algorithms can't provide the kind of surprise we are looking for that gets us excited about life. The entire machine learning enterprise is unique but only insofar as it gets the "spice" that makes life so great so very, very, wrong. For one, machine learning algorithms lead to sensitization and desensitization. Those fancy words just mean, in my usage, you don't actually explore your taste buds. Instead, you get the same likes and dislikes you've always had, developing a sort of constant emotional instability and identity crisis.

There may be individuals who tell you they can serve uniqueness through a machine-based generation process that involves machine learning algorithms. Please ask yourself before you believe them: how hard is it to operationalize uniqueness through an algorithm? Let's just say super computers can play chess but they can't become fashion icons. Maybe this is a matter of time. The fact remains. At this moment, machine learning algorithms do not provide you the level of satisfaction you are looking for and this is generally why you keep scrolling: you are searching for that moment that actually takes your breath away. You are only finding moments of intense outrage or boorish-ness.

I was supposed to go on a Safari before the pandemic hit. Like a good neighbor, and because the coordinator cancelled the trip, I did and would not have gone on a Safari. This platform was created as a homage to a great number of people and things in my life. I truly think it has the opportunity to be absolutely incredible. Elephant Ears is an electronic safari. Instead of scrolling advertisements, you are scrolling beautiful images from wildlife photographers and getting first-hand travel information so you can take that once-in-a-lifetime adventure if you so desire. As I add more content, the project will become better and better. I need your help to inspire me. Please give Elephant Ears a download. The more downloads, the more likely I am to add content that makes everyone's experience more experiential.
