In this post, I am going to show you how to install Always on Display - AMOLED - Edge Lighting - AOD on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. - This permission is necessary for the app to function; operations depend on this.
Modify system settings:
- This app will consume a lot of battery without lowering the backlight. With this access it can light up and down
Phone permission:
- The app needs phone permission to recognize incoming calls, dismiss the always on screen and show the incoming call screen.
Device Admin:
- The app needs permission to lock screen.

Note:
1) One reason for battery drain could be that you are using a phone with an LCD display.
This app is designed for phones with an OLED display that can turn off black pixels to save energy.
LCD displays cannot turn off black pixels which will result in the display using a lot more energy when the always on display is enabled.Another reason could be that other apps are running in the background while the always on display is running.
Android will display their battery consumption as part of AlwaysOn’s battery consumption.

2)Some manufacturers prefer battery life over app functionality which is why this app may only work with delays or not at all on some devices.
If you are experiencing delays try disabling battery optimizations for the app or check other manufacturer-specific settings.

3)The uninstall process can fail due to a design flaw in the Android operating system.
If the device admin permission was not disabled before uninstalling the process will fail.
You have to disable the device admin permission before uninstalling.
