The distinguished writer Abbas Al-Akkad tells us the biography of the enlightening scholar and the great thinker “Abd al-Rahman al-Kawakibi”, son of the city of Aleppo, who lived in a rich period of human history in the nineteenth century AD. He also scrolls through his books and briefs on them. He pauses on the important issues that Al-Kawakibi addressed in his books “Umm Al-Qura” and “Nature of Despotism”. Such as fighting the tyranny of rulers, his study of the conditions of societies in which unfairness is manifested, and his propagation of the idea of an Islamic university as an alternative to the Ottoman caliphate; In which he saw the colors of the tyranny that he devoted his pen to fighting.

When the genius takes his pen to write about the traveler Abdul Rahman Al-Kawakibi; The peaceful revolutionary, the knight of the word, who made it a way to combat the tyranny of darkness from the Bani Othman, rejecting the path of the revolution whose consequences cannot be avoided. Everyone must remain silent, for when you read the contract, you will be between two matters that are not third; Either win new information in various fields, or old information puts it on a new suit that makes it in the best way.
Al-Akkad in his book did not deviate from his usual method of the geniuses he wrote, as he is the master of the book in analyzing the characters and the patience of the depths of the human soul even if he does not meet the person who writes about him except in the folds of what was written about him, and perhaps the difference in this book is that it deals with the biography of Muslih Jealous of his fellow countrymen, jealous of his people, he refused to see them under the weight of humiliation and humiliation, and he wrote at the same time. Al-Kawakibi had carried his pen after he toured the various parts of the Islamic world and knew where the disease lies, so he wrote "Umm Al-Qura" in which he depicted a meeting between different Sadat The races of the Muslims in Makkah, in which they review the reasons for the delay of Muslims and the means of advancing the Muslim world, and fix what was possible to reform
