The Qur’an, and it is called in honor of the Noble Qur’an, is the miraculous book of God among Muslims. They glorify it and believe that it is the word of God, that it was revealed to Muhammad bin Abdullah for clarification and miracle, that it is preserved in the breasts and lines of every misrepresentation or distortion, that it is transmitted frequently, and that he is the worshiper by reciting it, And that it is the last of the heavenly books after the newspapers of Abraham, the Zabur, the Torah and the Injil.

The Qur’an is the oldest Arabic book, and is widely considered the most linguistically valuable, because of its rhetoric, eloquence and eloquence. The Qur’an has the effect and merit in unifying and developing the Arabic language, its literature, and its morphological and grammatical sciences, and establishing, unifying and fixing the basic building blocks of the rules of the Arabic language, as it is considered a reference and a basis for all the contributions of the linguists to the development of the Arabic language, such as Sibawayh, Abu al-Aswad al-Dawali, al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi and others, whether by the ancients or the modernists to The era of Diaspora literature in the modern era, starting from Ahmed Shawqi to Rashid Salim al-Khoury, Gibran Khalil Gibran, and others who had a major role in trying to push for the revival of Arabic language and heritage in the modern era.

The credit for the unification of the Arabic language is due to the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, as it was not unified before this era, although it was rich and flexible, until the Qur’an was revealed and challenged the crowd with its statement, and gave the Arabic language a torrent of good casting and the sweetness of prostration, and from the eloquence and the clarification what was unable to communicate Arabs. The Noble Qur’an has completely unified the Arabic language and preserved it from disappearing and extinction, as happened with many other Semitic languages, which have become obsolete and disappeared with time, or languages affected by weakness and decay, and thus the inability to keep pace with the changes and tensions known by civilization and the peoples of the ancient and modern world. .

The Qur’an contains 114 surahs that are classified into Meccan and Medinan according to the place and time of the revelation. Muslims believe that the Qur’an was revealed by God from King Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad over a period of approximately 23 years, after the Prophet Muhammad reached the age of forty, and until his death in 11 AH / 632 CE. Muslims also believe that the Qur’an was carefully preserved by the Companions, after the revelation was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, so he memorized it and read it to his companions, that his verses are detailed judgments, and that it speaks to all generations in all centuries, and includes all occasions and surrounds all circumstances.

After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the Qur’an was compiled into a single Qur’an at the order of the first caliph, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, according to the suggestion of the companion Umar ibn al-Khattab. And after the death of the second caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab, that copy remained preserved with the Mother of the Believers Hafsa bint Umar, until the third Caliph Othman bin Affan saw the difference of Muslims in the readings because of their different dialects, and he asked Hafsa to allow him to use the Qur’an in her possession that was written in the dialect of Quraish to be the standard dialect. Uthman ordered several copies of the Qur’an to be copied to standardize reading, to destroy what contradicts that Qur’an, to distribute those copies to all regions, and to keep a copy for himself. These copies are known today as the Ottoman Qur’an. Therefore, most scholars assert that the current copies of the Qur’an contain the same copied text from the original copy compiled by Abu Bakr.

Muslims believe that the Qur’an is a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad to the worlds, and that his verses challenge the worlds to come with a parable or a surah like it, as they consider it evidence of his prophethood, and the culmination of a series of divine messages that began, according to the belief of Muslims, with Adam’s newspapers, through the newspapers of Abraham, the Torah of Moses, and Zabur Dawud All the way to the Gospel of Jesus.
