The Association of Journalists of Albacete, founded on December 3, 1968, is a professional non-profit entity incorporated under the Law 19/1077, of April 1, and according to the regulation of Royal Decree 873/77 of 22 April, which groups journalists carrying out their professional activity in the province of Albacete. It is framed in the Regional Federation of Press Associations of Castilla-La Mancha and the Federation of Associations of Journalists of Spain (FAPE), and has the following purposes:

A. The defense of freedom of expression to promote truthful, responsible and pluralist, in accordance with the provisions of the Spanish Constitution information.
B. Ensure ethical and material general interests of the journalistic profession.
C. Ensure social, technical and economic rise of professional journalism.
D. Organize and attend those health services, cultural and corporate assistance that can contribute to improving the lives of journalists.
