Al-Qadr (Arabic: القدر‎, "Power, Fate") is the 97th Surah of the Qur'an with 5 Ayat. This sorat is positioned in Para 30 which is also known as Juz Amma (Juz' 30). It is a Makki surah which celebrates the night when the first revelation of what would become the Qur'an was sent down. The surat has been so designated after the word al-qadr in the first verse. It is mainly about power.

Summary:
This surah describes Laylat al-Qadr, the "Night of the abundant portion of blessings" in Ramadan on which Muslims believe the Qur'an (Qura'an / Mushaf) was first revealed. The "Spirit" mentioned in verse 4 is commonly interpreted as referring to the angel Jibreel (Gabriel). The "peace" referred to is called by Mujahid "security in which Shaytan (Iblis) cannot do any evil or any harm", while Ibn Kathir quotes Ash-Sha'bi as saying that it refers to the angels greeting the people in the mosques throughout the night.

Layla tul Qadr occurs during an odd-numbered night within the last ten days of Ramadan / Ramzan, but its exact date is uncertain; due to the promises made in the surat and in various hadith. Muslims consider it a particularly good time for prayer, supplication, and repentance to God. This event marks the descent of the first revelation of the Quran (Al-Quran / Al-Qur'an) to Earth. The official Islamic teaching is that Muhammad received the revelations that formed the Quran (Koran / Kuran) piecemeal for the next twenty-three years of his life up until the time of his death.

Special about Surah Qadr
Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha stated that Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "Look for Lailat-Ul-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan." (Bukhari)
The Blessed Night – Lailatul Qadr:

Lailatul Qadr is the most important night for Muslims. This night is also known as Night of Destiny, Night of Decree, Night of Measures, Night of Power, and Night of Value. It has a very significant and imperative background throughout the course of the history.

1. Whoso recites this surat in loud voice is like him who fights in the cause of Allah, and whoso recites it in slow voice is like him who has shed his blood in the cause of Allah; whoso recites this sorah ten times in a single sitting his ten thousand sins would be forgiven.
2. To remain safe from dehydration take a new earthen utensil, fill it with clean water, recite this sorat 30 times over it, then drink it ; and also use it for wuzu.
3. Whoso recites this surah in his obligatory salats (salaah / salaat) Allah would appoint an announcer who would announce: “O servant of Allah, all your past sins have been forgiven, now live like a pious Muslims.”
4. Whoso recites this surah, his reward would be equal to that man who fasts for the whole month of Ramzan; and whoso recites it in the night of
Qadr (laila tul qadr) is like him who fights in the cause of Allah; and if this surah is recited on the door a godown or a storehouse or a safe, the goods in it or belongings in the safe would remain under Allah’s protection, and save the owner no one would be able to take out anything from it.
5. Whoso recites this surah, he, alongwith his friends and helpers, would be the favourites of Allah on the day of judgement.
6. If this surah is written on a new and clean utensil and a person afflicted with facial paralysis continuously looks on it, Allah would free him from the paralysis.
7. Whoso recites this surah 15 times after the Isha salat (namaz / salah / solat), would remain in Allah’s protection till the next night, and if he recites 7 times every night, Allah would protect him till daybreak.
8. Whoso recites this surah over his gold, silver and jewelry Allah would increase his belongings and all his valuables would remain safe from theft and damage. The same would happen if this surah is recited over water and with it these valuables are washed and cleaned.
