This is a revival of the "music-synthesizer-for-android" project. It has been updated to run on newer Android devices.

The app emulates the classic DX7 FM synth. It currently comes with just the standard, default sound bank.

Supports:
* User loadable DX7 patch bank sysex (syx) files
* MIDI In (user selectable channel)
* scroll-able, 6 octave onscreen keyboard, selectable for 1 or 2 row display
* cutoff, resonance, overdrive controls (mapped to midi CC)

In the future more features may be added, such as:
* support for the newer Android MIDI API
* editing patches

My heartfelt thanks goes to Raph Levien, the original author of the app, for writing such a great app and making it available under a open source license.

Open source repository is on Github, please go there for any feature requests, bug reports or contributions: https://github.com/maks/droid-synth
New Features:
* You can now select a specific Midi Channel for Droid Synth to listen for note events on.
* Midi mappings for the Instrument selector, the cutoff, resonance, overdrive dials is now available. For now the CCs are hardcoded to ones from Hacktribe firmware on the Electribe2 BUT will be configurable in a future release.
A short video of the feature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stFZEMpY9JE

Current CCs are:
VALUE_ENCODER = 64
RESONANCE_DIAL = 71
PITCH_DIAL = 80
EDIT_DIAL = 82
