Radio Streaming Application Ponorogo Radio Discussion Forum (FDRP)

The FDRP Association (Ponorogo Radio Discussion Forum) is a radio association in Ponorogo. The FDRP association was established on May 1, 2018, which is a form of anxiety among the radio industry players in Ponorogo. FDRP was born because of the awareness of radio managers in Ponorogo that in an effort to defend oneself in this all-digital era, it cannot be done alone. Although on the other hand they are competing, they are aware that the radio industry cannot provide hope for a future life if it is not managed together. Starting from a meeting initiated by the University of Darussalam Gontor which brought together several radios as stakeholders of the curriculum program for the Communication Science Study Program of the University of Darussalam Gontor, it continued to a discussion on the need to establish a Ponorogo radio association and at a meeting of radio managers the FDRP Association was formed. In its young age, FDRP succeeded in cooperating with several radios in the Ponorogo area to join forces. The following are some of the radios that are members of the FDRP radio association: 1) Radio Romansa Ponorogo, 2) Radio Songgolangit Ponorogo, 3) Radio Duta Nusantara and 4) Radio Suara Gontor. The four radios are Private Broadcasting Institutions (LPK) and it is hoped that in its development FDRP can also embrace community radios in Ponorogo. As an association of several radios that are not yet two years old, the FDRP office is currently still integrated with the Romansa FM radio office on Jalan Pacar No.12, Ponorogo. This location was chosen because of the consideration that the Head of FDRP is the Station Manager of Romansa FM.

This FDRP Streaming Radio application can be realized in the Research and Community Service program between lecturers and students of the Communication Science and Informatics Engineering study program, Darussalam Gontor University, in collaboration with the Ponorogo Radio Discussion Forum.

Hopefully this Research and Community Service program can be useful and give blessings to all.
