In this post, I am going to show you how to install Remote for Sky Q - tests edition on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Remote for Sky Q - tests edition using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. This app meant to be used by testers in order to try and connect to their Sky Q box.

- First, make sure your phone and Sky Q are both connected to the same WiFi network.

Next, follow the below steps from your phone.

Part 1:
1) At the top, below the runner selection (now it's pointing to "Old runner") write your Sky Q address. NOTICE: the right IP address is crucial so make sure you write the right one!

2) Click on 49160. The app will try to connect using a specific port to your device. Wait until the connection will end: when at the bottom text line,you will see "DONE" text
4) Click on 5900 and wait again for the DONE message
5) Click on 9006 and wait again for the DONE message
6) Click on ALL and wait again for the done message (it should probably take a bit more time) and wait for the DONE message

Part 2:
1) Click, at the top, on "Old Runner" and switch it to "New runner"
2) Do the same process again, i.e: click on 49160 and wait for the "DONE", click on 5900 and wait, click on 9006 and wait and ultimately, click on ALL and wait for the DONE message
