In this post, I am going to show you how to install Hanabot on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...
Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Hanabot using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
- Once installed, click "Hanabot" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.
How to install Hanabot on Windows PC using NoxPlayer
- Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
- Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
- The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "Hanabot" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

Hanabot is compatible with Android devices that have version 5.0 or higher.
Hanabot is a server application that will use a Telegram bot created by you and that communicates with you.
You can access the files on your device through Telegram among many other options and commands.
IMPORTANT! Disable the battery optimization options for Hanabot. Some devices destroy background processes to save battery life.
Cool things to do:
👉Download files that are on your device safely from your Telegram client (for the moment maximum files of 50Mb)
👉Create Network drives of any computer in your home and share them with registered users.
👉Creation of users and profiles: You can create users who can access the services you choose from a Telegram client. Only registered users will be able to access your resources.
👉Turn on a computer on your Network through WOL from any Telegram client.
👉 Automatic dynamic DNS (DDNS) registration. Assign a hostname to your public IP with the free DDNS service http://www.duckdns.org
👉Send Youtube videos through Telegram that will be played on your Android TV device
👉More Network utilities: Find out your public IP, Ping any Network device in your home. IP address scanner, port scanner
👉Other advanced commands
All this without having to configure your Internet router, if your Android TV device has Internet access it is enough.
Hanabot is a personal project that I have decided to make public and free. It is in a very early version and there are features not yet implemented.
As for the aspect of the application, I am aware that it is not the prettiest, at the end of the day it is a service and all its potential lies in the management with Telegram. Once it is installed and configured, you will rarely access the application again.
TIPS:
For a user to register:
1️⃣You must activate the user registration from the "User management" menu. I recommend creating before a profile so that you can assign it to the new user with the appropriate permissions.
2️⃣You must search your Telegram client for the bot you have created or you can send it a link with direct access to your bot (you can get it by typing the "info" command). Your colleague must enter into a chat with the bot by clicking on "START"
3️⃣Next, your colleague must write "register" followed by a sentence. The bot will notify you that there is someone who wants to register and will show the phrase, that phrase should serve to identify that person and register it.
4️⃣If you accept the user, Hanabot will ask you to assign it to a previously created profile. Your colleague will receive a message from your bot saying that it has been accepted.
Why for Android TV? The application is designed to run on an Android TV device type Xiaomi Mi Box S that is always on, since they are low energy consumption equipment, with Hanabot you can avoid having your NAS or server always on, devices that generally consume more Energy.
I hope you can enjoy it like me. Over time I will make tutorials and examples of use. At the moment this application will only be available in Spanish, its translation into other languages will be reconsidered when the stable version is released.
