An-Naḥl (Arabic: الْنَّحْل, "The Bees") is the 16th chapter (sūrah) of the Qur'an, with 128 (āyāt). It is named after honey bees mentioned in verse 68[Quran 16:68], and contains a comparison of the industry and adaptability of honey bees to the industry of man. Regarding the timing and contextual background of the revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is an earlier "Meccan / Makki surah", which means it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca (Makkah), instead of later in Madina.

This surat warns against polytheism, saying that the pagan gods cannot create anything , and against comparisons between Allah and any created beings. It praises Allah for giving the Earth with all its wealth to mankind. According to this sura (Sorat), all wonders of the natural world, like seas, stars, mountains are proofs of God's infinite power. The verse 66 talks about the miracle in milk formation in cattle: "From what is within their bodies, between excretions and blood, We produce for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it." The verse 67 talks about miracle of vine: "And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out strong drink and wholesome food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise". The verse [Quran 16:103] addresses the allegations that Muhammad (PBUH) has invented the Qur'an.

And your Lord taught the honey bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.

Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that whoever recites Surah an-Nahl once every month, he will be safe from 70 types of diseases and will be from among the people of Jannah. This Surah should, however, under no circumstance be written and kept in the house or garden as it may have harmful effects. Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said that if kept in a house or garden, it will soon be destroyed. Indeed this is a weapon that one is only allowed to use against an evil person who is the enemy of Islam.

Reward of reciting Surah Nahl
Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) said: One who recites Surah Nahl every month would not see harm in the world and would be immune from seventy diseases the least of whom are insanity, leprosy and white spots.
Surah an-Nahl (The Bee)
This Surah was revealed in Makkah and has 128 ayaat. In the commentary of Majma’ul Bayan it is recorded from the Holy Prophet (S) that whoever recites this Surah will not be questioned, on the Day of Judgement, about the blessings he received on the Earth and will get the reward equal to the amount of people who left a good will when they died.
