Iis started singing at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol every night of the week and received an honorarium of ninety thousand per month. Iis was 14 years old at that time. Not long after being contracted as a permanent singer at Ancol, Iis was also contracted to become a permanent singer at Taman Ria Monas and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.
