In this post, I am going to show you how to install Screen Off Timeout on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Screen Off Timeout using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. (While playing game or watching video, it won't be forced screen off because it is in use.)
You can change it easily and quickly using Quick Setting or App Widget. You can also keep the screen on.

When the device is not in use, set it to 15 seconds to save battery, and change the timeout when you put your device down and do other tasks such as reading text or playing the piano with sheets.

You can quickly turn off the screen with a single touch using Quick Setting or App Widget.
There are two types of screen off function, 'Lock' and 'Screen Off', and can be changed in settings. 'Lock' is a type of unlocking the device using high authentication (Password, PIN). 'Screen Off' supports biometrics such as fingerprint and face. (It is supported from Android 9.0 Pie or higher devices.)

[Troubleshooting]
● I cannot delete the app.
If it is registered as a device administrator app, it cannot be deleted. You can delete the app by removing the 'Device Admin App' permission in the settings of Screen Off Timeout app.

● The screen off timeout function does not work.
Some manufacturers limit the maximum amount of timeout a device. In this case, more than a certain value does not work.

● When the screen is turned off with the screen off function, it cannot be unlocked by biometrics.
The Screen Turn Off type has 'Turn Off' and 'Lock'. 'Turn Off' type supports biometrics such as fingerprints, face and etc.

● It does not turn off while playing a game or watching a video.
When you are watching a video or game, the screen does not turn off automatically because the device is in use. To force the screen off, use the 'Sleep Timer'.
