Myopia is another word for myopia. It means you need glasses with ming glasses to be able to see sharply in the distance. Myopia is caused by hereditary factors and / or lifestyle factors. Lifestyle factors that can lead to myopia, or myopia progression, include doing many short-reading activities, such as reading, and little exposure to daylight, such as playing outside. With the help of this app it can be investigated whether a lot of smartphone use at a short reading distance gives an increased risk of myopia progression. This way we can give better advice in the future about safe smartphone use without damaging your eyes!

The research level in the Myopie app takes five weeks. At the start of the level you are asked how much time is spent on activities at a short reading distance, and twice a week you are asked how much time is spent outside. In addition, screen time, distance from eyes to screen, screen brightness, and lighting conditions are measured by phone. Nothing needs to be done for this.

By signing up for the level and answering all questions, you can earn points for saving for a discount code. If you have completed the app and have saved 80% of the points, you will receive a 20% discount at Miniworld Rotterdam, including a free discount book, for an extra discount at the Miniworld restaurant or shop.
