Instead of a normal remote control of our BaitBoat, the Carplounge Autopilot uses an Android tablet/phone. The necessary software is available for free in the Google Playstore and can be used on any Android device with Bluetooth. The tablet is connected to the boat via Bluetooth with a transmitter box and can now control it completely via the touch screen. In manual mode, the boat can be used like a normal BaitBoat and steered via the touchscreen. The position and route of the boat, as well as orientation (compass function!) are displayed on the map and continuously updated. In addition, promising fishing spots, which were found with the help of the echo sounder, can be saved and named via the built-in GPS, e.g. "jetty left", "spot 1", "home", etc.
In autopilot mode the points can be selected and combined to a route with corresponding actions (left hatch open/right hatch open/left release open/right release open/ turn on lights...).
Example: 1.) drive to position "Sandbank", there arrived open the right hopper 2.) drive to position "Spot 2" there arrived open the left hopper 3.) come back to the fishing place and blink once. The boat can now be loaded and will automatically follow the route. An almost infinite number of spots and routes can be stored. Through the most accurate measurement technology such as position and acceleration sensors, as well as the latest GPS and compass technology, an absolutely precise route guidance is possible, 90% with an accuracy of less than 30cm!
Also the tensioning of the line while driving, especially when deploying 2 rods at the same time to different spots is intelligently solved: If you tension one or both lines while driving the boat, this is detected by the built-in electronics and the boat steers accordingly to the train against, so the boat always remains on the direct course to the selected target without unnecessary turns to drive and thus generate line bends.
The autopilot replaces the normal remote control of the boat. However, we offer the possibility to connect a remote control to the autopilot. So you can choose whether you want to control the boat via your tablet or the remote control. For autopilot app control, all Android tablets with Bluetooth can be used. Currently, our app is optimized for 10-inch tablets. You can steer the BaitBoat directly via the tablet's touchscreen.
The free app, available via the Google Play Store, will therefore be constantly developed and expanded by us. By means of automatic software updates via the Playstore, we can provide new function requests, changes and extensions for a quick update without having to send in the autopilot or the boat to us. The autopilot app is automatically updated as is common with tablet/smartphones.
For use exclusively with the RT7 & RT4 V4.
