The Isra and Mi'raj in the Islamic Creed is one of the great events in the history of the Islamic Call, preceded by the mission and came before the Hijra. It is an incident that took place in the middle of the period of the Islamic message between the eleventh year to the twelfth year, since the Prophet Muhammad announced that God had sent him Gabriel to assign him a religious message to be communicated to his tribe, the Quraysh, and then to all of humanity, and that his message was complete and concluding of the previous heavenly messages. According to the Islamic history of this period, and the term to call it the Prophet’s biography, the event of the Night Journey is considered the journey that God sent His Prophet Muhammad to Al-Buraq with Gabriel at night from his home country of Mecca - the Grand Mosque - to Bayt Al-Maqdis in Palestine.
