Step By Step Guide To Install KARE Diabetes Assessment using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. KARE is an app framework designed and developed by Keele School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering to deliver easily accessible dynamic educational experiences to students. KARE is capable of static and dynamic cases, with or without 3D elements and with the capability of presenting the scenario in an engaging augmented reality format where this would enhance the exercise.

Each KARE scenario is a bespoke training or assessment tool tailored to meet the needs of our students and clients.

With the KARE Diabetes Assessment, we worked alongside Swansea University Medical School to develop three diabetes patients as part of an assessment for their MSc in Diabetes Practice. These patients will only be accessible to students on studying towards a MSc in Diabetes Practice at Swansea University.

• ECG trace more accurately reflects vital sign value

Please note that the Diabetes Assessment is available for students studying Diabetes Practice at Swansea University Medical School and selected approved users only.
