New ways of working and changing working environments raise new challenges for employees. Digitalization has strongly affected company cultures and organizations, which also results in adapting the physical infrastructure of the site campuses. Today, there is a strong need for Roche as a company to use and organize campuses and buildings in the most efficient way (f.e. smart building initiatives) taking into account the rapid change of working methodologies and set ups. As project teams often operate cross-site and employees are used to working from different physical locations, there is no longer the need to have one dedicated desk for each employee, to give just one example. Since there is no fixed routine an employee can easily follow on a daily basis, it can be challenging to smoothly navigate through the site, understanding the services offered and how to utilize them, for example, finding available parking spots or working spaces, finding colleagues or finding / booking available meeting rooms. Therefore assistance is needed to help the employee get orientation and intuitively navigate through any Roche site, even if it is not their home base campus, in the most efficient and flexible way. The idea of the DEX - hi site app is that employees can use their smartphones as a tool and have one single place to go to give them individual guidance and support. The DEX - hi site app should be a best in class solution ensuring an outstanding Roche experience.
