Diccionario Español - Otomí on Windows Pc

This work aims to contribute to the preservation of Mexican indigenous languages. It intends to make an integrated effort of isolated results and apply the latest technology for the benefit of the action of collecting vocabularies and Mexican indigenous languages.

It presents the Spanish translation of the Otomi language based dictionaries that were found on the Internet and mentioned in the sources.

Twenty-second edition, same as obtained electronically on its website - to facilitate specify the correct meaning of the translations of indigenous languages, each word in Spanish the first definition that appears in the DICTIONARY OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE included http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/

This is the beginning of a process that we hope will allow Mexicans to preserve digitally and make available to society, all indigenous languages ​​that exist in Mexico, with greater precision about their meanings and prevent continue to disappear for lack use.

The project involved many hours of work in carrying out the various tasks that are required to achieve the final presentation and summarized below:

1. Development and testing of technology for creating the database and capture its contents.
2. Search dictionary of indigenous languages ​​available online. After localized were transformed to be captured automatically by the system.
3. Find definitions of words within the Internet pages of the twenty-second edition of the Dictionary of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language
4. Production of different paper dictionaries
5. Production of different dictionaries in digital versions

Sources consulted

To carry out this work were located through Internet all dictionaries of indigenous languages ​​of Mexico were available and the translations found of each of the words included.

the origin of each of the consulted dictionaries listed in the following table was respected. The sources appear listed beside the name of the language in each of the translations of words. When no number means that the source consulted is the number 1 in the list below.
