The main goal in this serious game is to increase knowledge about specific case histories tailored to your specialism, to make the correct diagnosis and to carry out associated treatment processes. The first case histories focus on the oncology specialty. The breast cancer case was developed by Mr. A. van Bochove and Dr. M. Bos (Erasmus MC). The Medical Practice Game is powered by Pfizer.
You will receive different patients in your virtual practice/outpatient clinic. As a healthcare professional (doctor or nurse) you play a crucial role in the care of your patients in various areas. In an MDT, each patient is discussed through shared decision making and a treatment plan is established. This is followed by an intake with the virtual patient and you carry out the treatment plan. This treatment trajectory consists of a number of variations so that no patient is the same and no treatment trajectory is the same. As a result, it remains instructive and challenging to play the casuistry several times.
During each case, you will receive information about various topics related to, for example, breast cancer or other diseases. The content was developed by A. van Bochove MSc, internist-oncologist and Dr. M.E.M.M. Bos, internist-oncologist (Erasmus MC) and based on current guidelines.
For this game, you will automatically be awarded the corresponding accreditation points for each case played, provided you have achieved the threshold score and are registered with your BIG registration.
