In this post, I am going to show you how to install Home Automation on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Home Automation using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Home Automation" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

How to install Home Automation on Windows PC using NoxPlayer

  1. Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
  3. The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "Home Automation" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

Home Automation is an application to control fans and lights in your home.

HOW TO CONNECT WITH THE CIRCUIT BOARD

1 Turn on your circuit board bought from a local shop.
2 Then turn on the Bluetooth connection of your Android phone.
3 Search Bluetooth device and you can see the device name as "Home Automation".
4 Click that and put the default password is "1234", Then you can see"Home Automation" as a paired device.
5 Now open the Home Automation app.
6 Press the Bluetooth mark button to connect with the Bluetooth device. After that, you can see the words "Home Automation" with a black background. Then touch it. Now you can see the main menu with the sound "Bluetooth Connected".


MAIN MENU

Under this, there are five channels. Default names are Bulb 1, Bulb 2, Bulb 3, Bulb 4 & Bulb 5.
For each channel, there are two buttons known as ON & OFF with the operation same as turn on and turn off.
Only Bulb 1 is capable of changing the brightness by dragging the slider button as an analog output. Here you can see the brightness percentage and you can hear it. If connect a fan, you can control fan speed and you can hear speed percentage.
The other four channels have digital outputs.
In default settings, when you touch buttons you can hear a sound and feel the vibration.


EDIT

Here you can change the default settings as your preference.
Also, you can change On and Off the vibration and the sound as your wish.
When you touch the RESET SETTING button, all settings are changed into the default settings.
When you touch the RESET LIGHTS button, your circuit board will be reset.
When you touch the BACK button again you can see the MAIN MENU.

When you close and open the app, you can see a dialogue box which is asking that, '' Do you want to continue last button states?''. If you press 'YES', you can activate the previous ON state channels and also the brightness percentage of the Bulb 1.
