Roundnet is a team sport played by two teams of two players each. The opposing team members line up against the Spikeball™ circular net in the middle. A point starts when the server hits the ball from the net towards the opposing player. After service, there are no sides or limits. The object of the game is to hit the ball from the net in such a way that the opposing team cannot return it successfully.

A team is allowed up to three touches to return the ball to the net. Once the ball is played outside the net, possession passes to the opposing team. The rally continues until the team cannot legally return the ball. Players may move as they wish for one point, as long as they do not physically impede the opponent's play on the ball.
