Learn how to identify the 51 most common trees in Indiana. If you are in the State of Indiana and like spending time out doors, or would just like to know what trees are in your own back yard, this may be the app for you. This app was designed to help you determine tree identification and guide you through the decision making process. It will still take practice, but soon you will be identifying Indiana Trees like a Pro!

This app is based off of the 1956 publication, "Fifty Common Trees of Indiana" by T. E. Shaw. The original publication was a joint contribution between the Division of Forestry, Indiana State Department of Conservation, and the Agricultural Extension Service of Purdue University. The publication has been used by 4-H Forestry members as a training tool for many decades. Although this app is based from this book, it will not always be exactly the same as the book, but should still stay consistent throughout the identification process.

Watch for the new app due late summer 2016 involving more/easier options to identify even more trees and some bushes found in and around the state of Indiana.
Changed the icon. Will be working on future updates soon, including the addition of poison ivy. Stay tuned for the addition of Indiana Trees 101 in late summer or early fall.
