Balkondes (Center for Rural Economy) is a formation program state that will be used as a display case for the regional economy. Balkondes will provide space for the village government and the community to develop the economic potential in the village.

SOE establish Balkondes as a form of support to boost tourist arrivals in Indonesia. This is in line with the program initiated by the Indonesian government. Through Balkondes, people, especially villagers, will be prepared to welcome and provide optimal service to the tourists who come to the region. The increase in the number of tourists is expected to provide a positive impact on improving the local economy around.

Balkondes is one SOE made programs in addition to the partnership and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is useful to enhance the quality of life in Indonesia. To support this program, the state also equip each - each Balkondes with State sponsorship. For Borobudur area alone, there are 20 Balkondes made by SOE.
