EpApp has been designed to provide educational information about epilepsy along with self-management tools for adolescents living with epilepsy, their parents/carers, and the clinicians involved in their care.

The App does not replace the care of a treating Physician, but is a tool that teenagers and young adults can use to complement their treatment and help them better manage their epilepsy.

The Paediatric Epilepsy Network NSW (PENNSW) in association with the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network received funding support from NSW Health to develop EpApp.

The mission of the Paediatric Epilepsy Network and the purpose of EpApp (and the associated website: www.pennsw.com.au) are to improve the standard of care and quality of life for each child or adolescent living with epilepsy across NSW.

Members of the EpApp Editorial Committee and the PENNSW Editorial Committee authored the information available on this App, following rigorous consultation with key epilepsy personnel and families affected by epilepsy, and in reference to evidence-based literature.
