Valence Mobile is an app for users to connect to an IBM Power System Server running IBM i. Valence Mobile prompts for a valid IBM i user and password, then provides a launchpad from which the user can run apps that have been developed for use with the Valence Framework. In addition to handling menu functions, security, library lists and user overrides, Valence Mobile also provides app-level access to native device features such as camera, contacts, GPS, etc. This makes it possible to develop apps that, for example, take pictures on a device, collect GPS information to go with the image and store the data on the IBM i for use in other RPG programs.

You must have Valence Framework version 6.0 or higher installed and running on your IBM i in order for Valence Mobile to function. To obtain the Valence Framework, download the installer program on your Mac or PC by navigating to cnxcorp.com/valence and click on the "Download Valence Trial" button.
