"Zoo.gr Crosswords" is a multiplayer word game in which 2 players play at the same time. The object of the game is to form valid words horizontally or vertically based on any of the 7 letters you have at the bottom of the screen. The playing track consists of 15x15 places in which you can place the letters. The one who plays first, must place his word so that a letter is in the center of the track. The players play in a circle and there is an arrow indicating which players are playing at any given time. You have two minutes to choose the word to place on the table. The total number of letters is 104. At the beginning, 7 letters are dealt to each player and all the letters you use are automatically renewed so that you always have 7, until there are no more unused ones.

Rules

You can only validally enter a new word in the table if it is associated (even in a letter) with another word on the table. Also, the letters you place must be all horizontal or all vertical. If more than one new word (horizontally and vertically) is created during letter placement, all newly formed words must be valid. You can also modify an existing word by adding one or more letters to create a new valid word. In case the word is not valid or the way of placing the letters is not in accordance with the above rules, you will get a similar message and you will have to try again within the allowed time. If you do not manage to create a word in the two minutes of your time you lose your turn. If you can not create any valid words, click "Pass". You then have the right to replace as many letters as you want, as long as there is a corresponding number of unused letters.

Points

Each letter has a specific value (1, 2, 4, 8 or 10 points) which is recognized depending on the color of the letter according to the pattern to the right of the table. When you form a word, you earn the points resulting from the sum of the value of its letters. If during the placement of the word a letter is on the indication 2C or 3C, then the value of the letter in the calculation of points is automatically doubled or tripled respectively. By the same token, if any letter of the word formed is above the 2L or 3L mark, then the value of the entire word formed is automatically doubled or tripled respectively in the points calculation. The indications 2C, 3C, 2L and 3L are valid only when the first valid word is formed. If you modify a word that already contained such an indication you do not get the bonus again. If during the placement of the letters more than one valid words appear (horizontally and vertically) you get the points from all the newly formed words together with the possible bonuses from the respective indications. If during a game you use all 7 letters that you have, then in addition to the points you get based on the above rules, you receive an additional 50 points as a bonus.
