La Red is a radio station in Argentina, created on April 1, 1991 after the privatization of Radio Excelsior, which was founded on November 19, 1929. The radio reached the top ratings starting in 1997 with the arrival of the production company Torneos and Competencies (TyC) as the owner.

It is a pioneer station with its exclusive design dedicated to sports. Starting in 2000, with the slogan "La radio del deporte y las noticias", several sports journalists left the station to add the informative profile that is the most common of AM de Argentina.

The sports profile was maintained, standing out the coverage of the 2006 Soccer World Cup, being the only Argentine radio station with a studio in the Munich press center.
