Founded on September 14, 1977, Radio Sepé Tiaraju AM 540 KHz emerged as a new alternative in the regional broadcasting, with its generated programming Sant'Angelo, the capital of the Missions.
A group of businessmen led by journalist Luiz Valdir Andres felt that the municipality and the region needed a station with more range, which would lead to a greater number of municipalities the news and concerns of missionaries.

Thus was born the Radio Sepé Tiaraju, with coverage in 300 municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul. The wide range of the broadcaster, which transmits at a frequency of 540 kHz with 10,000 Watts of power, transformed the Sepé a benchmark for broadcasting inside gaucho.

The first seat of the System Sepé Radio Tiaraju was located in the northwest building in the city center. Shortly thereafter, the direction of the station has acquired its own three-story building, where even today the company is installed at the corner of Antunes Ribas Street with Three October.
