Rush Animal Care offers the Johnston community a wide range of pet services including medical and surgical care, pet boarding and pet grooming. We serve the greater Des Moines area, including Urbandale, Grimes, Clive, West Des Moines, and Ankeny.We are located close to a 24 hour facility, and 30 minutes from the College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital in Ames.
Appointments are available weekdays (except Wednesdays) and Saturday mornings. Grooming is done Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Surgery is done Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
We have been serving the Johnston area since 1992 and provide a wide array of services for your pet, including all of their wellness needs (vaccinations, and examinations), laboratory testing, radiographs, and surgery. We are happy to take care of your pet boarding and pet grooming needs, as well. Need a new veterinarian? Call us. Need a dog groomer? Call us. Need a cat groomer? Call us. Need pet boarding? Call us.

Need a health certificate for domestic or international travel? Dr. Rush is an accredited veterinarian who can write the appropriate documents. Each location for international travel has differing requirements. Please call our office to speak with Dr. Rush as to the lead time necessary for your intended destination.
