If Ibn al-Roumi had wanted to tell us about himself and his time, he would not have been anything more than what al-Akkad said; With his distinguished style, he was able to paint the image of one of the best and most influential poets of the Abbasid era. Al-Akkad was not satisfied with following his biography only, but also saw with his piercing eyes that the picture is not complete unless it is presented to the era of "Ibn Al-Rumi". The life of Ibn Al-Roumi is a continuous cycle of misfortunes and tragedies. He combined poverty after wealth, and the death of loved ones and children; This reflected on his hair, and he did not see hope in life. Al-Akkad was distinguished in his analysis of his poetry; He explained its strength and weakness, and the methods and meanings it used.
