Many of you just hearing these names will be pervaded by memories and emotions of almost twenty years ago; we hope there are very few who do not know that these are the unrivaled districts of Lovere.
Now we introduce ourselves, we are the Nuova Proloco Lovere and for some time we have started working on a project to bring the enthusiasm, music and scents of the Palio dei Rioni back to the streets of the town.
It was the year 1985 when the taste of the first palio was savored in the streets of the center, which then grew up to 1997 with increasingly improved editions, with many disciplines, with 800 members, with a country that ran, played, jumped, found itself , celebrated and felt like a community (cit.).
We are joining forces with young and old alike, also asking for help from the oratory and some associations in Loverese to organize a Mini-Palio dei Rioni on 16 and 17 May ... why a mini-prize ??? Because we are aware of the too ambitious commitment of a complete prize with 3 weeks of games, so as a first step towards this goal, the Mini version seems to us the best choice.
We believe that bringing the Palio back to our town is an opportunity for aggregation and growth for the people of Loverese, as well as a leap into the past to restore those healthy values of conviviality; the thought that, even if only for a few days, the town is animated by a spirit of healthy competition and fun rivalry between friends who belong to different districts, encourages us to commit ourselves to the success of the event.
In this initial phase we thought it was important to create reference groups for each ward, in order to establish a direct link between the organizing committee and citizens; therefore you may be contacted by some representatives, who will explain the dynamics of the initiative in detail.
Sure of the interest aroused, we invite you to participate with enthusiasm and decorate windows, terraces, gates and streets with the colors of your neighborhood.
