La Calera, water and wind
Four kilometers from Florence, on the old road to the village of Neiva and New Jerusalem, is another museum caqueteñidad, far removed from classical museology. This is a living museum. Here ornamental pieces and static painting landscapes dela elements have been changed for a living nature and moving.
It began as a restaurant, which is now the best in the Caqueta, but the dream has always gone further. Today it has become a recreational space with two tarabitas 200 and 170 meters, hanging 50 meters above the ground to practice canopy, which is nothing but blow the man. Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, biking, camping, are other attractions.
The place is mounted on a hill overlooking Florence is observed. This place was inspired by the viewpoint of La Calera in Bogotá. He visited once and dreamed organize this site as well, in a gazebo, a cool, outdoor and natural landscape, hence the name of the Calera. No doubt that inspiration was exceeded. It is a two-story space, hanging from a hillside bordered by the River Axe, monkeys jumping around the bush, macaws sing around the house, everything is wild, natural.
Our kitchen is special, are typical dishes of the region, which have been refined. Cachama smoked, for example, is well known in the region.
