If you use this app, you can observe the CG Hokkado that looks like it has been restored to its actual size when you visit the national historic site "Hojo Yoshitoki Houkado Ruins" in Kamakura. Please use it when you visit the site of Houkado. If you install the app before visiting, you can see the restored CG of Hokkado at home and read the explanation about Hokkado.

Hojo Yoshitoki Houkado is a grave built on the back mountain (called Okurayama) of the Okura Shogunate in Kamakura. On Mt. Okura, there were two buildings, the Hokkado of Minamoto no Yoritomo and the Hokkado of Hojo Yoshitoki, who created the Kamakura Shogunate. It is the grave of two of the most important figures of the Kamakura Shogunate. The scale of Hojo Yoshitoki Hokkado was clarified by an excavation survey, and this time, we were able to produce a restored CG. This application has made this restored CG an AR application so that you can see it in full size in the historic site.

1. Use in the field or historic site
If you point the camera at the AR marker installed in the historic site with this application running, you can see the CG image of Hokkado reproduced in full size. If you walk around the historic site with your smartphone, you can see the Hokkado from each place. You can see the inside of the hall by entering the hall. In the hall, an image video of the 100-day memorial service of Hojo Yoshitoki is shown. The Buddhist statue placed in the hall is a 3DCG version of the Raikoji Temple "Nyoirin Kannon Bosatsu", which is said to fulfill all wishes. This Buddha statue was located at Minamoto no Yoritomo Hokkado (the current location of Shirahata Shrine in the Edo period), which is related to Hojo Yoshitoki Hokkado. You can see virtual wall newspapers around Hokkado. This wall newspaper contains the scale of Hokkado revealed by the excavation, the voices of the excavated people, and the excavated items.

2. Use the app at home before visiting the historic sites (recommended)
This app can be downloaded and used at home before using it locally. The contents are "see at home" and "commentary". In "See at home", you can understand the structure of Hokkado by looking at the restored CG model of Hokkado while disassembling it little by little. It's like disassembling the model of Hokkado. "Commentary" is written in an easy-to-understand manner, "About Hojo Yoshitoki" and "About Hokkado".

It takes time and packet fee to download the application, so it is recommended to download it in advance in your home WiFi environment. It will also be a preliminary survey on Hokkado.

This app is produced by Shonan Institute of Technology Nagasawa Inoue Laboratory in collaboration with Kamakura City at the request of the Kamakura City Board of Education.
