This concept, created by Carlos Morales, director of Madrid Platform and president and founder of the consulting firm MSH-Global, aims to be the gateway for Latin America in Europe and Europe in Latin America, offering a unique connection opportunity for business international, with opportunities and investment plans.
Madrid Platform is based on business, economic and social relations between the two continents, according to the possibilities offered by the current geopolitical context.
During the meeting, the origins of this idea are reviewed, based on the study of Latin American economies, which have grown in the last two decades, fundamentally through investments from the United States, Spain, and in the last 15 years, from China. However, the investment from Latin America had not stood out until recently and it is now that it has looked to Spain to open a path to Europe.
With Madrid as a link between the two continents, countries such as Peru, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador and the Central American region, and with the support of the Madrid City Council, have emerged as the main Latin American investors. Thus, the accumulated investment in 2020 reached 42,660 million euros, which makes Latin American companies an important part of today's Spanish business fabric, representing 9.1% of the foreign money received by Spain.
The project has established itself as a natural meeting space for thousands of European and Latin American companies and a business revolution at an international and multisectoral level, with Madrid as the nerve center. In fact, there are several delegations from European countries that will be represented at Madrid Platform and even from other continents, as guests.
Madrid Platform is a continuity project, a business meeting away from fairs, a permanent space with special services for companies, where everyone fits to advance in Development and progress.
It also has significant institutional support. In addition to the Madrid City Council, this initiative is supported by the Community of Madrid or the Ministry of Industry, through its business revitalization bodies (CESCE, COFIDES, ICEX and ENISA), as well as other ministries of the Government of Spain.
