Global Warming Science and Model is our impressive instructional software on global warming and the resulting climate change. It provides a logical sequential series of engaging simulations of the important concepts needed to understand why global warming of the Earth is happening. These simulations along with the supporting information provided make the concepts involved much more accessible and meaningful to students than what can be found in text books and/or many web sites. The software also includes an authentic atmospheric/ocean coupled global climate model (GCM). This final simulation has a simple elegance. It is easy to use with clear understandable results; yet unleashes the incredible computational power of your iPad or recent desktop computer, and uses many advanced methods, to deliver compelling inference on the future of the Earth.

The content for the software, and the included GCM, are based extensively on the technical reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), NASA, and NOAA. Through our software this information is made readily accessible to students in order to provide them with a sound scientific understanding of how greenhouse gases provide our planet with the global climate we have and why it can change. It also provides students with insights into the many uncertainties involved in predicting the future of our climate due to the nonlinear complexities of the feedbacks mechanisms involved in the Earths dynamic climate system.

This instructional software includes hands-on lessons and excellent off-line labs which together can provide weeks of curriculum for grades 8 to college; or which because of the software’s module design, can readily be used with other existing curriculum. With the content carefully layered and differentiated so that it will be effective for learning at numerous levels of education and abilities.

This app will free up more of your time to discuss and assimilate higher principles and understandings. Consider how much more meaningful and comprehensible climate study discussion can be when your students have a sound working knowledge of the processes that are causing climate change. Our global warming software is well tested and is in use at many high schools and colleges around the USA and across the world.
