What is Hadis-e-kisa?
Hadith e Kisa is in regard to the virtue of the Prophet (pbuh) Imam Ali (as) The holy lady Fatimah (s.a) Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Husayn (as). The event occurs at the house of Umme Salma, the wife of the Prophet (pbuh). The Holy Prophet (pbuh) at the time where the Quranic verse of ‘Tathir’ was revealed had covered himself and his family with a Yemeni cloak (Kisa). The Shia believers quote this narration to prove imamat excellence & right for caliphate and right over the Muslims. The narration has come in many books such as “Mafatih Al-Jinan’ which was written by Sheikh Abbas Qummi (r.a) and the narration can be found by it's famous title Hadīth e Kisa. It has also been narrated in many older sources of Sunni and Shia literature.

حدیث کساء کیا ہے؟
حدیث کساء حضرت پیغمبر اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، حضرت امام علی علیہ السلام، خاتون جنت حضرت فاطمہ علیہ السلام، حضرت امام حسن علیہ السلام، اور حضرت امام حسین علیہ السلام کی فضیلت میں وارد ہونے والی حدیث کو کہا جاتا ہے۔ یہ واقعہ زوجۂ رسول ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ کے گھر میں رونما ہوا۔ آیت تطہیر کے نزول کے وقت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اونی چادر اوڑھے ہوئے تھے اور حضرت امام علی علیہ السلام، حضرت فاطمہ علیہ السلام، حضرت امام حسن علیہ السلام اور حضرت امام حسین علیہ السلام بھی اس چادر تلے موجود تھے ۔ اس چادر کو "کساء" کہا جاتا تھا۔ ائمۂ علیہ السلام نے بارہا اپنی فضیلت اور امت مسلمہ پر ان کے حق خلافت کے اثبات کے لئے اس حدیث کا حوالہ دیا ہے۔
