"TEAM BAYERN Life Saver" is the app for all TEAM BAYERN members who are willing to save lives. More than 60,000 people in Germany suffer a cardiac arrest every year. Only one in ten survives. The reason: A cardiac massage is rarely started in time. There are often helpful people nearby, but they don't hear the cries for help. A cardiac massage that is started immediately can double or even triple the chance of survival! This will change with the "TEAM BAYERN lifesavers" in that registered "TEAM BAYERN lifesavers" will be alerted via the system.

If a call for help in connection with a cardiac arrest is received by an official control center, "TEAM BAYERN lifesavers" who are close to the scene of the emergency can immediately run to the emergency site and start the cardiac massage if there is a cardiac arrest. An often life-saving defibrillator can also be brought quickly. The app is always there to support you and not only shows you the way, but also supports you during the resuscitation measure itself. The use is and will always remain voluntary and can also be rejected at any time via the app.

Who can join?

- You are at least 18 years old and have your permanent residence in Germany, ideally in Bavaria
- Your 9-hour first aid course is not more than two years old
- Or you are even a paramedic, paramedic, paramedic, emergency doctor etc.
- You have a smartphone (Android, iOS)

How can I participate?

- First you register (free of charge and without obligation) with TEAM BAYERN.
- There you tick the box that you want to become a TEAM BAYERN lifesaver.
- You then need BOTH apps on your smartphone (TEAM BAYERN and TEAM BAYERN lifesaver)
- You can then upload the required evidence

NOTE: The lifesaver function is currently supported in the area of ​​the Bayreuth/Kulmbach control center. Anyone in this area can be alerted, even if they are just passing through. Other regions and control centers in Bavaria are gradually being technically connected.

TEAM BAYERN is the innovative platform for low-threshold offers of help and the placement of helpers in the event of a crisis. Together, Radio BAYERN 3 and the BAVARIAN RED CROSS are looking for people who are willing to help when help is needed. Be it a major accident, a catastrophe or even minor support as part of neighborhood assistance. The help is always voluntary, the member is not tied to any aid organization and can decide freely with every request for support whether they have the time and inclination. TEAM BAYERN does not compete with other organizations either, but works together with them in a spirit of trust and supports and relieves their helpers.
