The Keys of the City, the application of the "Mining Route of Monteleone di Spoleto" project, allows the visitor to discover, through the new multilingual digital technologies, in a more immersive and engaging way, the historical, mining archeology and geo-naturalistic evidence. of Monteleone di Spoleto and its vast territory, in particular its mountain area.
The territory crossed by various paths, mapped here, is characterized by valuable naturalistic / geological sites, important historical sites and important ancient communication routes of religious interest. The Mining Trail is a thematic circular route that connects the town of Monteleone di Spoleto, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, to the lignite mines of Ruscio and the iron mines of Terargo / M. Birbone, winds its way through the Valnerina Geological Park in an area of ​​environmental value characterized by wooded slopes and peaks with bushy grasslands and connects to routes of regional interest such as the Camino di San Benedetto and the Greenway del Nera.
The Keys of the City is an application for Ios / Android devices for the use of monuments and the territory with a high capacity for interaction with the user (augmented reality, geolocation, map of itineraries, navigator, use of bluetooth for indoor tourist routes). The great novelty of this system is the possibility for the visitor to download a single APP that manages guided tours, city tours and outdoor experiences at the same time, based on an open data system. The APP also allows you to carry out visiting experiences both online and offline, without the need to use the network continuously, manage outdoor and indoor itineraries thanks to the integration of the various telephone sensors, with the possibility of very high spatial resolution, manage multi-thematic information and different events.
The Keys of the City allows you to have an interactive guide of the territory, of the paths, of cycle paths and of the main monuments in the territory of Monteleone di Spoleto. Moreover, thanks to the AR systems and the gps sensor networks, it allows the visit of 37 points of interest and 13 tourist and excursion itineraries.
During your visit, the APP will detect the GPS points outside which will automatically activate the audio guide and will open the reference descriptive cards. Visitors both inside and outside the sites will also be able to take advantage of Augmented Reality, by pointing the camera of the device at the monument and artistic artifacts: in this way it will be possible to observe reconstructions and additional information directly through the camera.

Le Keys of the City allows you to visit the area safely and independently, with a single app you can manage your visit without having to continuously download applications in every place you frequent.
After downloading the App, select your language and wait for the multimedia contents to load (it will last 1-2 minutes): thanks to this wait, the system will retrieve all the visiting elements of an area of ​​about 60 square kilometers even without a network connection.
The Keys of the City is an application that uses the functions of GPS, Augmented Reality and Bluetooth to give tourists a unique and engaging experience of visiting the cultural and naturalistic heritage of the Monteleone di Spoleto area.
When you start, the guide presentation screen will open, where you will also find the tutorial and credits.
To access the automatic visit system, just click on "START A NEW EXPERIENCE" from the home screen: the application will enter search mode and start searching for nearby points of interest.
