Application Information
The app was produced with co-funding from the EU (INTERREG V, Upper Rhine). It contains two interactive and bilingual routes (German and French), which allow you to discover the museum's collection:
- Route 1: “Hallo, Salut, Grüezi!”
- Route 2: “The Rhine”.
The Museum of the Three Countries Lörrach makes them available free of charge to its visitors or tourist partners for the creation of outdoor circuits. The target groups are adults and young people.
Course content
The “Hallo, Hi, Grüezi!” route tells stories from the region of the three countries around the theme of the border which is the common thread. They range from prehistory and ancient history to the end of the Second World War.
The "Rhine" route allows you to discover general information on the Upper Rhine: the inhabitants, the bridges, the gold panning, the salmon fishing, the regulation, the hydroelectric power stations, the commercial axis, the waterway, the problems environmental issues, politics, Rhine romanticism and tourism.
Course structure
Each course has 10 stations. Each of them is centered around an object from the collection of the Museum of the Three Countries, witness to a facet of the history of the region.
Each station is built according to the same model with 4 elements:
0) Home page: presentation of the narrator, theme, indications for navigation.
1) Audio intro.
2) Photo of the object with text.
3) Additional audio or video information.
4) Fun activity.
At the end of each station, the user receives a piece of a 10-piece puzzle that must be assembled at the end of the course. Then, the solutions (true/false) of the activities appear.
For those who wish to obtain additional information on the themes, a link from the last page of the course provides access to a virtual gallery.
