WHO Electronic Diary provides clinical guidelines and based on updated evidence on the care of children in need of hospital care. This is the electronic version of the Memento pediatric hospital care.

These guidelines, for doctors, nurses and other health professionals responsible for the care given to children, are focused on the management of the main causes of child mortality in developing countries, namely:

neonatal diseases, including low birth weight, prematurity, sepsis, perinatal asphyxia and birth defects;

pneumonia and other respiratory problems, including bronchiolitis, asthma and tuberculosis;

diarrhea, acute or chronic;

fever, including malaria, meningitis, sepsis and rheumatic fever;

severe acute malnutrition;

HIV / AIDS;

surgical problems including trauma and burns.

The application includes guidance on the different stages of the care of the child: sorting and emergency treatment, history and examination, laboratory tests, supportive care and monitoring, planning and tracking return home.

This application of the WHO electronic Diary on pediatric hospital provides access to offline all guidelines and will be regularly updates.
