ForgetMeNot is an app which acts as a personalised and bespoke digital memory book for people living with dementia.

The app features three tools: photos, music and voice recordings which provides family members and carers with a simple means of practicing reminiscence therapy, a practice with proven benefits in reducing agitation and stimulating brain activity.

Simply download the app, make an account for your loved one living with dementia and share your unique "Family Code" to get everyone involved in the reminiscence experience.

Once logged in to the app, the user can begin to navigate the home page.
Upload photos from holidays in 1964, play their favourite songs from childhood or record a message from grandchildren. But above all else, connect, remember and talk.

Reminiscence Tools:

Photos:
The user can upload photos from their camera roll or take pictures using their smartphone camera. These photos can be sorted into albums for ease of use. The user can create an album title such as ‘Wedding Day 1964’ and give a brief description of same. These albums can be used as a focal point of conversation on reminiscing on the past.

Music:

The Music feature allows users to create playlists via the Spotify Integrated Music Tool. They will be asked to sign in to Spotify at this point. The user can then create playlists of their loved ones favourite songs from the past. This can then be played to the person living with the illness.

Voice Recordings:
This feature allows family members and carers to record a message, read a chapter of a book or recite their loved ones' favourite poem. The Voice Recording feature requires the user to provide a voice recording title. The recording can then be played to the person living with the illness.

Via the ‘About Section’, users can view the Account members.
