In this post, I am going to show you how to install Stoney Nakoda Media Player on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Stoney Nakoda Media Player using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

The Stoney Nakoda Media Player is a companion to the Stoney Nakoda Textbooks. Just point your phone at the page and tap to hear Native speakers pronounce the words. The AR and Page Modes gives you complete access to the textbook vocabulary and audio with an easy tap and swipe interface.

-The textbook has full-text audio so you can read along.
-Augmented reality (AR) places audio players right on the page in every unit!
-The Page Mode reveals the image when tapped, to aid the user in understanding the meanings of the words. (Not included for all buttons)
-Hit the Play button in the bottom left corner to play through All Audio within the unit. Play always starts from the last played audio so you will pick up where you left off.


Instructions:
The Stoney Nakoda Media Player is easy to use. You’ll start out in Books, where you can select your book. Tap the book again to enter Page Mode. If you are asked to allow camera use, press agree or yes if you wish to use AR Mode. Tap AR Mode Switch to switch the camera on. Tap Play to start auto-playback. Tap right or left arrows to proceed to the next or previous Section. Tap the hamburger button to select the section from a list.


Page Mode
- Pinch to zoom
- Drag to navigate between pages
- Press Play to Play All Audios
- Tap buttons on page to play audio
- Tap a button on the page and then tap Play to start auto-playback from that button

AR Mode
- Tap AR Mode Switch to enter AR Mode
- Look at the page in your book through your phone or tablet's camera
- You will see the page overlay and you may tap buttons to hear the audio

* Image recognition performance may vary depending on the device.
* Some devices are not compatible with AR mode. If your device isn’t compatible, you will see a warning that will return you to Page Mode.
