Prihatin Batu was established to serve the area between Sentul and Batu Caves in the northern outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a population of 219,132. Settlements belonging to the Batu region include Sentul.

The Batu area is 20 square kilometers and in terms of transport, the outskirts of Batu are currently served by stations KC04 - Taman Wahu, KC03 - Kampong Batu and KC02 - Batu Kentongmen commuter on the KTM Commuter 1 Seremban route.
Taman Wahyu KTM Commuter Station is he one of his four new stations extended to Batu Caves on the Sentul-Port Klang route since 29th July 2010. PY13 - Kampung Batu MRT Station on Putrajaya MRT Line 12 also serves. In the future, PY14 – Kentonmen and PY15 – Jalan Ipoh stations will serve the suburbs as part of Phase 2 of the remaining lines.

With the help of Prihatin Batu, users can clearly see the area around Jalan Ipoh, Batu's main road named after the city of Ipoh, Perak. Its English name is Ipoh Road. Jalan Ipoh was part of National Highway 1, known at the time as the only road leading from downtown Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh. This street used to be called Jalan Batu. Today, Jalan Batu ends just below the Chow Kit Monorail Station, where it joins Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Pahang and Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz. At its southeast end, the road used to extend to Chow Kit, forming a crossroads with Jalan Pahang, Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. On 26 November 2014, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) renamed the section from Jalan Segambat intersection to Jalan Pahang intersection in Jalan Ipoh to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

The booming real estate industry in recent years has seen a lot of change in the Sentul area, which has seen the redevelopment of many old neighborhoods in the Klang Valley.
