In this post, I am going to show you how to install ThermaMotion on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install ThermaMotion using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "ThermaMotion" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

ThermaMotion is an intelligent, easy to use application that detects thermal motion or changes automatically by using FLIR infrared thermal camera.

ThermaMotion operates in day & night. When you run ThermaMotion, you can observe any motion and/or changes in your FLIR camera field of view on your screen. In addition, you can get motion sound.

ThermaMotion is currently free.

FEATURES;
*ThermaMotion automatically detects any thermal motion/change and plots them on your device screen.
*ThermaMotion draws motion icon on the screen when a motion is detected.
*ThermaMotion sketched motion history on the screen. Therefore, you can have information about the complete route of a target.
Besides, you can see motion towards you or away from you.
--User can change options for sound on/off, motion display or motion history display.

HOW TO USE:
*Fix your device by facing the FLIR thermal camera looking to the area you want to track.
*Turn on Wifi streaming on your camera.
*Start the application.
*Be sure that your thermal camera is placed in the discovery list.
*Click on the preferred thermal camera and get the live camera display.

SETTINGS:

UNIT SETTINGS
*Temperature Unit: Select Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees.

DETECTOR SETTINGS
* Motion Sound: Enable motion sound or mute.
* Save Picture on Motion: Saves the current picture in case of motion.
* Detector Resolution: Motion detector spatial accuracy. Smaller values yield more sensitive detection but may cause noise and excess detection.
* Point Thermal Sensitivity: Pixel value accuracy for thermal change.

DEVICE
* Motion Rectangles: Draw rectangular motion region plots on the device screen or not.
* Motion History: Draw motion history bubbles on the device screen or not.

Important: You will need to have a FLIR streaming thermal camera for this app to run.
