In this post, I am going to show you how to install Azure Helper for Infra Admins on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Azure Helper for Infra Admins using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

Following features are provided in this version of this app:
1. List Cloud Services in account
2. List virtual machines (in all deployments) in each cloud service.
3. Perform following virtual machine operations:
a) View Details (Includes Role and RoleInstance details)

Pre-requisite of this app is a Microsoft Azure account, which is available as 1 month trial with $200

credit as evaluation.

This app is useful for people, who manage virtual machines (Infrastructure as a Service, aka, IaaS) or

developers or people managing dev environments and need to shutdown machines to save cost on the go.

This application would keep on improving with a lot of Azure functionalities. For now I have plans to

incorporate following functionalities in further versions:
* Create and delete Cloud services
* Create and delete virtual machines
* Manage Virtual networks
* Assign static IPs
* Resize etc operations on VMs
* Azure Storage explorer (blog storage management)
* Traffic manager operations
* etc

2.0: Option provided to create virtual machines. It is first release of creating VMs and support Windows only. Subsequent releases will contain more support.
