  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. Like backpacking the Appalachian Trail in real life, winning this game will require careful planning and persistence.

How to Play:

• Choose your character and backpacking gear
• Choose where to sleep to replenish your energy
• Decide to take zero days (no hiking) to replenish your health
• Ration your meals and money
• Try to make it all the way to Mt. Katahdin (or Springer Mountain)

Although the game is literally a "walking simulator", it doesn't fit into that category. The developer finds this hilarious.

Gritty details:

In-app purchases are included, but are completely optional. The game can be played completely free with the default options. Players who like a challenge can find more gameplay options by purchasing item unlocks.
